Thomas Stemwedel is a Partner at Econic Partners based in Chicago. Mr. Stemwedel has over three decades of economic consulting experience in antitrust and competition economics, applied econometrics, class certification, product liability matters, and damages.
Mr. Stemwedel has performed analyses in a variety of major mergers, private antitrust litigations, complex commercial litigations, and regulatory proceedings. In addition, he has advised clients on cases before the U.S. Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Maritime Commission, U.S. Federal and State Courts, the American Arbitration Association, state public utility commissions, and foreign competition authorities.
Mr. Stemwedel’s experience covers a wide range of industries, including financial exchanges, telecommunications, media, pharmaceuticals, health care, transportation, manufacturing and consumer products.
Mr. Stemwedel holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Chicago.
