Daisy Sun is a Senior Principal at Econic Partners, based in Washington, D.C. Dr. Sun specializes in merger evaluations and antitrust litigation issues.
Dr. Sun has extensive experience in applying applied econometric methods in merger review settings. Her expertise encompasses supporting testifying experts on matters involving alleged monopolization, exclusionary conduct, price fixing, and intellectual property disputes. She has also supported experts in merger reviews across diverse industries including semiconductors, beverages, consumables, and other industries.
Dr. Sun has given seminars on merger review process and empirical tools used in merger evaluation at conferences and law firms. Dr. Sun holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University in 2020 and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Carleton College in 2011. Prior to her doctoral work, she worked as a Research Assistant for Nobel laureate Joshua Angrist from 2012 to 2014.
