Econic Partners is pleased to announce that Matt Arenchild has joined the firm as a Partner, further strengthening the firm’s growing Energy practice.
Dr. Arenchild brings more than 25 years of experience in applied economics and regulation in the energy sector, with particular expertise in the United States electric industry. His work spans mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, antitrust matters, and litigation involving utilities operating throughout North America. He also regularly provides expert testimony before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on market power issues.
Dr. Arenchild joins Econic’s Energy practice, where he will work closely with Founding Partners Lona Fowdur and Nathan Miller to support clients on complex market, regulatory, competition, and strategic economic issues affecting the energy sector.
Together, the team brings deep experience advising clients on matters involving electric utility mergers, regulatory and compliance investigations, market-based rate filings, wholesale electricity market activities, and litigation across the evolving energy landscape, including LS Power/NRG Energy and Vistra/Cogentrix.
