Econic Partners is proud to announce that Professor Robert Clark has joined the firm as a Senior Consultant. Professor Clark is a leading academic expert, specializing in antitrust, as well as the economics of financial markets.  He has written extensively on cartels, including issues related to allegations of collusion, hub-and-spoke conspiracies, bid rigging, entry deterrence, and complementary bidding, as well as algorithmic pricing and the possibility of algorithmic collusion.

Professor Clark’s work spans a range of industries including advertising, airlines, banking, energy, and pharmaceuticals. He also has extensive experience evaluating the impact of mergers on various outcomes in the banking sector.

In addition to his role at Econic, Professor Clark serves as Professor and the Stephen J.R. Smith Chair in Economic Policy at Queen’s University. He has published numerous articles in leading peer-reviewed journals and received the best paper award from the Association of Competition Economics for his work on the effect of mergers in search markets. He also serves as an associate editor of the RAND Journal of EconomicsEconomics Letters, and the Canadian Journal of Economics.

Professor Clark’s appointment further strengthens Econic’s mission to combine academic rigor with practical industry insights to deliver forward thinking services to our clients.
