Ariel N. Medvedeff, CFA is a Partner at Econic Partners in the Miami office. Mr. Medvedeff specializes in expert economic, financial, regulatory, and damages advice in complex international treaty and commercial arbitration and litigation matters.
With more than 18 years of experience, Mr. Medvedeff has been involved in over 70 disputes, providing expert testimony and expert analysis before leading arbitral institutions, including ICSID, ICC, LCIA, and the PCA.
Mr. Medvedeff has been recognized as a leading expert in the field of international arbitration. He has been named among Global Arbitration Review’s “Who’s Who Legal: Global Elite Thought Leaders – Expert Witnesses in Arbitration” in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Mr. Medvedeff’s experience spans a broad range of industries, including energy, construction, hospitality and real estate, agriculture, mining, transport concessions, telecommunications, and airlines, with matters involving assets across Latin America, North America, and EMEA.
In addition to his expert practice, Mr. Medvedeff has contributed to the field through academic teaching, including courses on regulatory economics, financial analysis, and damages assessment in litigation and arbitration.
Mr. Medvedeff holds a B.A. in Economics from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (Argentina) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA), a designation awarded by the CFA Institute. Before joining Econic Partners, he spent over 15 years advising on international arbitration matters at Compass Lexecon, where he advanced to Executive Vice President, and previously worked for three years at LECG.
