David Reishus is a Partner at Econic Partners based in Boston, Massachusetts.    Dr. Reishus specializes in applying microeconomics to the study of markets.  This application occurs in matters involving competitive analysis, market valuation and damages, and regulation of markets.  He has analyzed and testified on markets and regulation in rail transportation and on the operation of intra-national and international markets in trade disputes.  In these and other settings, he has analyzed market structures, regulatory policies, and the economic factors affecting firm behavior and competitive outcomes on behalf of private and public clients. 

Dr. Reishus began his economic career by focusing on tax policy and the effect of tax systems on firm behavior.  His work evolved to encompass more broadly the interaction of firms in markets and with government policy and regulation.  Dr. Reishus has applied these skills in numerous assignments involving regulated network industries such as railroads, electric power and natural gas, crude oil and petroleum products transportation.  He has provided testimony in a variety of judicial, regulatory, and international forums in the U.S. and abroad.

Prior to Econic Partners, Dr. Reishus was an Executive VP at Compass Lexecon, and President of The Economics Resource Group, Inc., which merged with Lexecon.   Dr. Reishus has a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Economics from Harvard University, and a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University.
