Luke is an Associate at Econic Partners in Brussels with over seven years of experience advising on complex mergers and other antitrust matters before competition authorities such as the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), the Canadian Competition Bureau, and various national competition authorities and courts.
He has worked on numerous high-profile, multi-jurisdictional merger cases across a wide range of sectors, including technology, transportation, energy, entertainment & media, healthcare & life sciences, and retail. His recent merger work includes NVIDIA/Run:ai, Catalent/Novo Nordisk, Thermo Fisher Scientific/Olink, Bell Media/Outfront Media, and Farfetch/YOOX Net-A-Porter Group/Richemont.
Luke also has experience in other areas of competition law, including follow-on damages and abuse of dominance cases. He was part of teams that advised a smartphone manufacturer on excessive pricing and pass-on of mobile network standard essential patents, and estimated damages for a heavy truck manufacturer in the context of litigation proceedings.
Prior to joining Econic Partners, Luke worked as a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon.
Luke holds an M.Sc. in Specialized Economic Analysis from the Barcelona School of Economics, with a focus on competition, regulation, and markets, and a B.A. (Honours) in Economics with a concentration in applied energy economics from the University of Calgary.
