Martin Wickens is a Principal at Econic Partners based in Copenhagen and London. He has experience consulting on M&A and antitrust cases across a wide range of industries including entertainment, financial services, manufacturing, real estate, retail, and telecommunications.
Prior to joining Econic Partners, Martin worked as a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon and as an Economist at the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). While in private practice, he worked on a number of CMA mergers including Vodafone/Three, GIC/Greystar/Student Roost, and Culligan/Waterlogic, as well as Article 101 and 102 TFEU cases. While at the CMA, Martin was the lead economist on several Phase 1 merger investigations, and contributed to numerous Phase 2 merger investigations, market investigations, competition law enforcement, and research projects.
Martin received a MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge, and a BSc in Economics from University College London.
