On November 26, 2025, Omnicom closed its acquisition of The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc., after the transaction was reviewed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and antitrust regulators around the world.  The $9 billion transaction creates the largest marketing and sales company in the world.

Founding Partner Jon Orszag was retained by Omnicom and its outside counsel, Latham & Watkins, to advise on antitrust issues in North America.  Economists from both Econic Partners and Compass Lexecon supported Mr. Orszag, including Colleen Loughlin, Dan O’Brien, Fredrick Flyer, Genaro Marquez, Alice O’Donnell, Yujie Qian, Daniel Stone, Mike Foley, Carolyn Kryczka, Ruchika Roy, Ashley Crasto, William Dolan III, Jaewan Park, David Pauwels, Brian Sardon, Peter Sparks, and Rohan Tripathi.  The team worked closely with Omnicom’s outside counsel, including Michael Egge, Farrell Malone, Nathaniel Amann, Tara Tavernia, and Carla Palma of Latham & Watkins.
