Econic Partners is delighted to announce that Julian Wright, the Goh Keng Swee Professor in the Department of Economics at the National University of Singapore, has affiliated with the firm as a Senior Consultant.

Professor Wright is one of the world’s leading economists on competition policy and regulation, with a particular focus on digital and multi-sided platforms including marketplaces, app stores, booking sites, real estate platforms, ride-hailing apps and payment platforms. His work also examines the competitive implications of data and artificial intelligence. In addition to his academic work, Professor Wright brings extensive experience advising major international corporations, and recently served as an expert witness before the Federal Court of Australia in Epic Games v. Apple.

Professor Wright has published extensively in leading economic journals, and his work on multi-sided platforms is widely cited by academics, courts, and competition authorities worldwide. He currently serves as a Co-editor of the RAND Journal of Economics and is a member of the Singapore Competition Appeal Board, the Energy Market Authority Board and NUS Alumni Ventures. He has been consistently recognized as a leading Competition Economist in Lexology’s Competition Index since 2011.

Professor Wright’s affiliation further strengthens Econic Partners’ commitment to integrating top-tier academic talent with practical, litigation tested economic analysis for clients facing complex antitrust and regulatory issues globally.
