Jake Cheng is a Senior Principal with Eonic Partners. He has over a decade of experience in providing economic and financial consulting services and has participated in dozens of litigation, merger, regulatory investigation, and international arbitration matters across multiple jurisdictions, including China, the United States, and the European Union.
Mr. Cheng specializes in applying economic and financial theories, combined with complex business data, to conduct empirical analysis for litigations and mergers. His expertise includes intellectual property infringement evaluation, damages calculation, competitive harm assessment, and financial product valuation. His professional experience spans multiple industries, such as high-tech, digital platforms, semiconductors, finance, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, agricultural products, consumer goods, and industrial products.
Mr. Cheng has testified multiple times as an economic expert in IP and competition matters before various Chinese courts. He has also submitted an economic white paper to China’s State Administration for Market Regulation.
Mr. Cheng holds a Master’s degree in Finance from MIT Sloan and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Fudan University. He is a CFA charter holder since 2017.
