Dan Gaynor is a Partner at Econic Partners based in Washington, DC. He specializes in combining industrial organization theory and computer modeling to analyze competition issues relating to mergers and private antitrust matters. Dan has extensive experience in a wide variety of industries including aerospace, airline transportation, consumer goods, electronics, health care, metals, paper, pharmaceuticals, software, telecommunications, and petroleum and gas industries. He has provided and supported testimony on competition, consumer protection, and product liability issues before U.S. district courts, federal regulatory agencies, and before regulatory agencies in Canada, Europe, and Australia.
Dan was an economist in the Bureau of Economics at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) from 2001 through 2006. While at the FTC, he led the economic analysis of both merger and conduct cases and supported litigations. He also contributed to several FTC reports on mergers and competition in the petroleum industry.
