Keith Bockus is a Senior Consultant at Econic Partners specializing in financial economics, valuation, and financial accounting. Keith’s consulting practice spans both private commercial litigation and regulatory enforcement actions, where he brings deep experience applying rigorous financial and economic analyses to resolve high-stakes disputes. His engagement experience covers an array of global industries, including financial services, digital platforms, transportation, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, energy, and entertainment.
In his financial litigation and valuation practice, Keith focuses on advising clients on complex shareholder disputes, securities litigation, and other valuation-related matters. He has extensive experience conducting valuation analyses for shareholder appraisal litigation and fiduciary duty claims, and frequently evaluates solvency in the context of fraudulent conveyance and bankruptcy proceedings. Keith also works on merger-related disputes providing economic and financial analyses of material adverse effect allegations. In addition, he has experience in the quantification of economic damages arising from breaches of contract and other commercial disputes.
In his competition practice, Keith provides economic consulting on the financial dimensions of complex antitrust matters in the United States and Canada. He has extensive experience in the quantification and verification of merger efficiencies in horizontal transactions. His work for antitrust authorities and private parties also includes performing detailed financial and valuation analyses to evaluate failing firm defenses, as well as assessing the financial capacity of firms to pay antitrust penalties.
For several years, Keith served on the faculty of The University of Chicago Booth School of Business as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Accounting, where he taught advanced graduate coursework in financial accounting, financial statement analysis, and valuation.
Keith earned a Ph.D. and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a B.A. in economics from The Johns Hopkins University.
