Dr. Christopher Taylor is a Partner at Econic Partners. Dr. Taylor served in the government for three decades across the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC), ultimately serving as an Assistant Director within the Bureau of Economics at the FTC where he led a team of approximately 40 Ph.D. economists, financial analysts, and research analysts.
While at the FTC, Dr. Taylor directly supervised the selection, design, and implementation of antitrust investigations and research projects, while also leading litigation teams on a wide variety of cases in Federal District Court and on Part III matters before the FTC Administrative Law Judge. Some notable cases include FTC vs. CCC/Mitchel, FTC vs. Steris/Synergy, FTC vs. Peabody/Arch, FTC vs. IQVIA/PMI, FTC vs. Meta/Within, FTC vs. Microsoft/Activision, FTC vs. Polypore, and FTC vs. Louisiana Board of Real Estate Appraisers. These litigations involved horizontal mergers, vertical mergers, potential competition, and firm conduct. He also won numerous awards for individual excellence, as well as a dozen team awards for specific cases and projects.
Dr. Taylor’s research on industrial organization, antitrust, and international trade has been widely published by leading economic journals including the American Economic Review, The Journal of Law and Economics, The Journal of Industrial Economics, Journal of International Economics, International Journal of Industrial Organization,and the Review of Industrial Organization.
Dr. Taylor received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Saint Louis University and a PhD in Economics from Duke University.
