On June 2, 2026, Aveanna Healthcare, a leading provider of private duty nursing services, completed its acquisition of Family First Homecare, expanding Aveanna’s footprint in key local private duty nursing markets.
An Econic Partners team led by Founding Partner Jon Orszag and Partner Chris Rybak was retained by Aveanna and its outside counsel to advise on antitrust and competition issues arising from the transaction. The team evaluated competitive dynamics in private duty nursing services, including patient level and location based evidence relevant to agency review, and presented analyses to the Federal Trade Commission.
